Mobil Delvac hosted its first-ever Great Rodeo Relay on Thursday, Nov. 1 at the Rush Truck Centers in Dallas, Texas.

This event was created to shine a light on diesel technicians and what the trucking industry needs to do to build a strong talent pipeline – which is a key challenge facing the industry today. 

To emphasize the specialized skill set technicians need, two teams comprised of past Rush Rodeo winning technicians and Stewart Haas Racing Pit Crew members will faced off against one another in a race to conduct some core maintenance skills on Peterbilt cabs.

The teams have invited a group of next gen technicians to participate, too, as nearly a dozen Peterbilt students from a local Dallas UTI program will be on-site testing their skills, too.
