American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council announced FedEx Freight’s Eric Vos as TMCSuperTech 2015 National Technicians Skills Competition Grand Champion.

“For eleven years, TMCSuperTech has highlighted the skills and professionalism displayed in our industry by technicians like Eric and I congratulate him and all the competitors at this year’s event,” said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. “Our industry needs more than 140,000 new technicians and diesel engine specialists by 2022 and this event is a great chance to shine a light on these opportunities in our industry.”

Vos, from Boise, Idaho, joined Drew Dilmuth, from Jacksonville, Fla., to win the team competition.

FedEx also boasted second place finisher Brian Blevins, Harrison, Ark., and third place finisher Josh Nordick, Roseville, Minn., to help FedEx Freight sweep the top three spots on their way to a win in the team competition.

“Eric demonstrated tremendous skill and deep technical knowledge in winning this year’s TMCSuperTech National Technicians Skills Competition Grand Champion,” said Carl Kirk, ATA vice president of maintenance, information technology & logistics. “Congratulations to him, to FedEx and to all the competitors at this year’s event.”
