Rislone Releases Tips for Emissions Test
Rislone has released its tips for technicians to help customers pass their upcoming emissions test and steps to recommend to customers who are worried about what to do if their vehicles fail a smog check.
Rislone officials say major mechanical malfunctions aren’t the only reason vehicles fail emissions tests. Suggest that your customers perform their own visual inspections, checking for missing emissions equipment and replacing them if needed; address obvious fluid leaks, some inspection facilities don’t test this and Rislone suggests using Bar’s Leak One Seal to tackle leaks in engines, transmissions and power steering; clean emission, fuel and exhaust systems by using Rislone CAT Complete cleaner – a dirty catalytic converter or oxygen sensor can cause the vehicle to fail its test; clear check engine light with CAT Complete; and catch up on routine maintenance.
Rislone CAT Complete works on all fuel-injected, direct-injected, carbureted, turbo, GTDI, Ecotec and EcoBoost gasoline engines. The bottle is designed to work in all gas tanks, including standard, obstructed and capless (no fuel cap) systems. It’s EPA registered, exceeds EPA compliance performance criteria and is legal in all 50 United States.
