Telit Wireless Solutions, the North American technology arm of Telit Communications PLC, announces that its M2M modules will enable connectivity for remote monitoring applications from Alta Industrial Automation Ltd. (AIA), an innovator of wireless solutions. Leveraging Telit's G24 and H24 modules for its Pioneer and GoFer product lines, AIA enables real-time monitoring of a wide range of mobile and fixed industrial assets, such as gas lines, irrigation systems, chemical tanks and automotive fleets.

Using AIA's solutions, commercial farmers, waste managers and trucking companies, among others, can reduce labor costs and response times for monitoring and managing machinery, critical systems and other valuable assets, made possible by immediate access to data and remote control capabilities.

"With cellular connectivity enabled by Telit wireless modules, AIA customers achieve reliable end-to-end monitoring and control solutions for their fixed or mobile assets," said Gary Allbee, president, AIA. "Our customers can now quickly and conveniently connect their assets to the Internet and manage their devices with our platform."

Equipped with Telit's G24 and H24 modules, variations of AIA's Pioneer and GoFer devices universally feature low power consumption to extend the life of remote M2M deployments, maximizing customers' return on investment. Paired with AIA's C-DAQ Tracker Server software, Pioneer products are available as out-of-the-box solutions, fully certified and requiring no programming for remote site and asset monitoring deployments. GoFer embedded modems also enable quick time to market when coupled with a certified cellular data solution.

"The M2M market has deep roots in the industrial space, but many organizations still have yet to take advantage of the efficiencies, cost-savings and safety benefits of remotely monitoring critical assets in real-time with cellular technology," said Mike Ueland, senior vice president and general manager of Telit Wireless Solutions North America. "AIA's products minimize the technical risk, investment and time required to capitalize on the opportunities afforded by M2M implementations, allowing companies to quickly and painlessly benefit from connectivity."

Telit's G24 modules are ultra-compact, providing 2G quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity. The H24 module line offers high-speed HSUPA/HSDPA connections, taking advantage of global 3.5G deployment while still leveraging backwards compatibility by supporting quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
