A: It is not uncommon to know a vehicle’s entire maintenance history, provided the maintenance is kept within the fleet. There seems to be little question that, at some point, the record of the vehicle will be kept with the vehicle’s onboard system and transmitted to the cloud.
Not keeping up with technology could mean that shops and fleets will be operating at a significant financial disadvantage in keeping maintenance costs under control when compared to those that embrace technology.
