ProMAXX Tool announced that they have certified the Butch ProKit to perform precision exhaust manifold repairs on the 8.8L PSI engine, popular in the IC Bus (Navistar). ProMAXX PMXB200APRO, model name “Butch,” has been successfully tested and applied to an 8.8L PSI engine exhaust manifold, allowing broken bolts in the engine head to be extracted more productively and safely without removing the cylinder head.
Power Solutions International (PSI) is a cleantech manufacturer and supplier of industrial and on-road engine and power solutions.
“The 8.8L PSI engine is a based on the GM 8.1L V8 engine, but with increased displacement and power,” said Jeffrey Del Rossa, president and founder of ProMAXX Tool. “For fleet customers, it is all about asset utilization and minimum downtime. The certification of the precision tool can save fleet customers and technicians a significant amount of time and money by allowing them to perform the repair quickly, accurately, and avoid having to pull the cylinder head.”
The Butch ProKit is manufactured in the United States by American craftsman and using American-made materials.
