Maxion Wheels' MaxCoat Triple-Protection meets Truck Operators' tough demands

New web animation demonstrates thorough process to assure coverage.

North American motor carriers have expressed "significant satisfaction" with Maxion Wheels' exclusive MaxCoat triple-protection coating. The enhanced protective coating is offered as a standard feature on most wheels for the North American market.

Maxion's MaxCoat offers truck operators distinct advantages: improved durability, reduced maintenance costs and better paint adhesion. The proprietary process involves an undercoating of zinc-phosphate, followed by a mid-coat of epoxy electro-deposition primer (EDP), and finally a premium topcoat.

The result is corrosion protection that significantly exceeds salt-spray testing requirements per  ASTM B117 standards – "the best standard finish on steel wheels the industry has ever seen," according to Mark Fonte, marketing and sales manager – OE Truck Wheels, Maxion.

A new animation video of the MaxCoat process is now featured on www.MaxionWheelsAndRims.com, on the Coatings page (simply click on the MaxCoat rotating banner).
