Chrysler recalls 331,401 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles over incorrectly installed rear coil springs

Chrysler is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles.

Chrysler is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. 

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the rear coil springs may have been incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. 

To remedy the situation, dealers will inspect and if necessary, repair the rear coil spring assemblies, at no charge. 

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 28, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. The recall number is 64A.
