Chrysler recalls over 130,000 Ram trucks over incorrect PCM software

Chrysler is recalling certain 2021 Ram 1500 pickup trucks equipped with 5.7L eTorque engines.

Chrysler is recalling certain 2021 Ram 1500 pickup trucks equipped with 5.7L eTorque engines.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the powertrain control module software may cause an incorrect fuel mixture condition in the engine, and result in an engine stall.

To remedy the situation, dealers will update the powertrain control module calibration software at no charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 2, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. The recall number is 37A.

To check to see if your vehicle has an open recall, visit NHTSA's website and enter the vehicle's 17-digit vehicle identification number.
