Ford recalls over 1.2 million vehicles for brake hose issue

Ford is recalling certain 2013-2018 Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles.

Ford is recalling certain 2013-2018 Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles. 

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the front brake hoses may rupture and leak brake fluid. 

To remedy the situation, dealers will replace the front brake hoses at no charge. 

Ford will be mailing interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk by April 17, 2023. Second letters will be mailed once parts are available. Owners may contact Ford's customer service at 1-866-436-7332. The recall number is 23S12.

To check to see if your vehicle has an open recall, visit NHTSA's website and enter the vehicle's 17-digit vehicle identification number.
