Delphi Product & Service Solutions (DPSS) announced the expansion of its global E3 Diesel Electronic Unit Injector (EUI) repair solution for high performance, heavy-duty applications.

Delphi Product & Service Solutions (DPSS) announced the expansion of its global E3 Diesel Electronic Unit Injector (EUI) repair solution for high performance, heavy-duty applications.

With repair for more than 48 injectors projected to launch this year, Delphi’s E3 injectors are fitted to a wide range of Volvo, Mack, Hyundai, Volvo Penta, Renault and Nissan on- and off-highway applications. The product expansion will provide Delphi’s authorized repair network the potential service opportunity of more than seven million injectors.

Currently, DPSS has more than 100 global authorized workshops that have met the required standards and are approved to carry out the E3 Diesel EUI repairs. The workshops currently have the capability to test and repair more than 24 E3 injectors with many more planned for launch this year.

With the ability to diagnose, test and repair the latest generation heavy-duty injectors to OE standards, technicians can carry out comprehensive tests on injection pressure, fuel delivery and actuator timing to recalibrate the injector. Additionally, Delphi provides its network with all the key elements required to carry out an effective repair including test equipment, test bench diagnostics, tooling, training, test plans, repair parts, manuals, and marketing information notes with parts lists.

Training courses are provided regularly at all Delphi Diesel Aftermarket training schools globally, and workshops are required to attend the Delphi training course before they are authorized to repair E3 injectors.

The new repair solution accommodates the E3's dual valve operation, which enhances the injection accuracy. This will help to ensure that the injectors operate as efficiently as possible, reducing fuel consumption, vehicle downtime and maintenance costs.
