The winning technician will be awarded $2,500 in cash and prizes

Redline Detection, a leader in OEM-mandated diagnostic leak detection equipment, is encouraging anyone who works with, or knows, a talented technician to nominate him or her for the second annual Redline Rock Star Performance Award. The award recognizes a technician for their commitment to family, community and the industry. Friends, family members, shop owners, etc. can easily nominate worthy technicians through Redline’s online nomination form.

The winning technician will receive cash and prizes valued at $2,500 from Redline Detection in appreciation of their hard work and leadership and will also be featured in press and advertising to promote their business.  Additionally, the nominating individual will receive a prize valued at $250. Nominations for the 2015 Redline Rock Star Performance Award will be accepted through Dec. 31 and can be submitted on Redline’s website at http://redlinetechacademy.com/nominate. The winner will be chosen by the Redline Technical Advisory Board and announced in January.

“Redline has always valued and supported technicians, and as we continue to grow, we are thrilled to be able to demonstrate our admiration for these hard-working men and women who are out there doing a fantastic job every day,” said Alex Parker, executive vice president of Redline Detection. “This award recognizes a technician for their commitment to the industry, their job and their community—the same values our Redline team strives to adhere to every day.”

Last year’s winner, Christian Opfer of SK Motorsport in Bellingham, Wash., an ASE Certified Master Technician, was recognized for his extraordinary commitment to technical excellence and continued education in the field, as well as his community involvement. He was nominated by the owner of SK Motorsport, Steve Knowlton.
