Volvo Electric Drive Noise

This bulletin applies to 2018 Volvo XC60 T8 R-Design vehicles featuring ERAD (electric rear axle drive). If a customer is driving in electric mode and experiences noise from the rear of the vehicle that increases with vehicle speed, faulty motor bearing noise is the most likely issue. No DTCs will be stored, and no messages will appear on the driver information module. The bearing kit, function group 4601, should be replaced. It is not necessary to replace the complete ERAD motor.
