BendPak Inc. announced it has reached a settlement with VEVOR Technology, LLC and VEVOR Store, LLC (VEVOR) in a lawsuit involving patents related to BendPak’s QuickJack portable car lifts.

Terms of the settlement are confidential. VEVOR denied infringement, and the settlement includes no admission of liability by VEVOR. The case has been dismissed.

BendPak filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in July 2025 regarding four patents covering QuickJack’s frame-engaging parallelogram design.

“This is a significant win not just for BendPak, but also for consumers who may not fully recognize key manufacturing and safety differences between our original lifts and those that copy our designs,” said Jeff Kritzer, BendPak president and CEO. “Just because a lift looks like a QuickJack doesn’t mean it performs like a QuickJack.”

BendPak introduced QuickJack more than 10 years ago. Originally designed for racetrack use, the portable lift is also used for residential, detailing, and mobile repair applications. According to BendPak, all QuickJack 5000 through 8000 Series lifts are independently tested and Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) certified to meet the ANSI/ALI ALCTV lift safety and performance standard.

“We make substantial investments in innovative designs that improve safety, efficiency and productivity in professional shops and home garages, and we rigorously protect our intellectual property,” Kritzer said. “This serves as notice to any company or individual considering copying our patented designs — we will defend what we’ve built.”
