Diesel Forward to purchase Central Motive Power

July 13, 2018
Both companies distribute diesel engine parts for manufacturers such as Bosch, Stanadyne, Denso, Delphi, Alliant Power, BorgWarner and more into the aftermarket.

Diesel Forward has signed an agreement to purchase the assets of Central Motive Power (CMP). The anticipated close date is mid-August, 2018. Both companies distribute diesel engine parts for leading global manufacturers such as Bosch, Stanadyne, Denso, Delphi, Alliant Power, BorgWarner, Garrett and Holset into the aftermarket.

CMP has locations in Albuquerque, Denver and Pueblo West. This acquisition will strengthen Diesel Forward's presence in the mountain regions.

"This is an important strategic move that will benefit our employees, suppliers, and our mutual customers by allowing us to leverage our joint strengths in the region," Bob Breunig, president of Diesel Forward, said. "Through this affiliation, we will expand our distribution and service reach and capabilities. Our customers will have expanded access to service as well as product and technical support. Diesel Forward will consolidate and expand its existing Denver operations into CMP. We will continue to build on our leadership position in automotive, medium, and heavy-duty engine and aftertreatment component distribution."

"The companies have complementary cultures and offer compatible products in the aftermarket," Harry Ellison, CEO of CMP, said. "We see this affiliation as a win-win. Our employees will have expanded opportunities and our customer will benefit from the products and services that Diesel Forward offers. Together, Diesel Forward and CMP remain committed to ensuring we have the parts our customers need – when they need them – backed by excellent technical and customer service. We strive to make sourcing easy so our customers can focus on what is important – running their businesses."

"Though we will now operate as one company – Diesel Forward, Inc. – CMP customers can depend on the same personal relationships they have experienced in the past," Breunig added. "Customers will continue dealing with the same people and can expect the same quality service they rely on."
