For its fourth consecutive year, Brown's Tire, Towing & Auto Center has been a proud supporter of Brakes for Breasts, a national campaign held in October for independent repair facilities to raise funds for cancer research, specifically for the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund.
Located in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, the auto shop joins more than 100 other independent auto shops across the U.S. and Canada.
To participate, there's a bit of a commitment, such as the need to buy shirts and a banner for the campaign, noted Maria Brown, shop owner, according to The Shepherdstown Chronicle.
However, she added that the shop’s NAPA dealer, located in Boonsboro, Maryland, partners with them to help supply some of the brake pads and materials.
Throughout the month of October, for every brake service performed at one of the Brakes for Breasts participating shops, customers will receive free brake pads. They only need to pay for the labor.
Each shop then donates 10 percent of the proceeds to the fundraiser.
