Volkswagen recalls 49,443 Audi vehicles due to fuel pump failure

Volkswagen is recalling certain 2019-2021 Audi Q8 and 2020-2021 Audi Q7 vehicles.

Volkswagen is recalling certain 2019-2021 Audi Q8 and 2020-2021 Audi Q7 vehicles due to potential fuel pump failure. Total number of vehicles that may be affected is 49,443. 

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a component inside the fuel pump may break, causing the fuel pump to fail.

To remedy the situation, dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 16, 2022. Owners may contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 20DR.

To check to see if your vehicle has an open recall, visit NHTSA's website and enter the vehicle's 17-digit vehicle identification number.
