Kia recalls all 2014-2016 Cadenza vehicles

March 21, 2022
Over 30,000 vehicles recalled due to inadequate windshield bonding.

Kia is recalling all 2014-2016 Cadenza vehicles due to "inadequate windshield bonding". Potentially 30,362 vehicles are affected.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that during manufacturing the front windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach and increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Notification letters are expected to be sent out by May 13, 2022. Owners may contact Kia at 1-800-333-4542, or NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236.

The recall number for Kia is SC232. NHTSA's campaign number is 22V158000.

Remedy

When inspected by a dealer, the windshield may be removed and reinstalled, if necessary. Repairs will be at no charge.
