Ronald Medford, Deputy Administrator, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), will discuss future plans for safety regulations at a special education session at AAPEX. The presentation, one of 24 education sessions featured in Inside Track: AAPEX Learning Forum, will be held 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4 in the Venetian Hotel, rooms 705-706.
“NHSTA Safety and Regulatory Plans: What is Coming Down the Pike?” will cover:
o The impact of upcoming rules on motor vehicles.
o Current and upcoming NHTSA actions that will affect the aftermarket.
o Upcoming NHTSA priorities.
Medford will outline NHTSA’s current and anticipated regulations regarding fuel economy standards, traffic safety, vehicle/equipment safety initiatives and enforcement direction.
All “Inside Track” education sessions are free to AAPEX attendees and no registration is necessary.
