(Nov. 2, 2007) Chicago Pneumatic introduced the CP Blue Tork Range, a new line of random orbit palm sanders and more than 500 individual sockets to its impact socket line at AAPEX on Wednesday.

The CP7600 is the newest tool in the CP Blue Tork Range. It combines an impact and torque wrench in one product engineered to the user's requested torque setting at the CP factory. It is designed to save time, money and energy by achieving a precise and accurate wheel tightening the first time, according to Paul Humphreys, global communications manager for CP Vehicle Service Division.

"The CP7600 replaces two wrenches, bringing the process of wheel tightening into a new world of safety for both mechanics and end users," says Humphreys. "The Blue Tork family of fastening tools provides a layer of security to the wheel tightening process, assuring no under- or over-tight3ening of bolts, which can cause wheels to break loose from their mounts. Blue Tork is designed to help commercial truck and bus technicians service vehicles back to their original, blueprint torque specifications."

A new line of random orbit palm sanders, engineered to provide technicians with unmatched durability and performance at a competitive price, are available in non-vacuum, self-vacuum and central-vacuum models and are color coded for easy recognition by technicians.

The new line features three random orbit palm sanders, the CP7125, designed for fast material removal and body filler smoothing; the CP7225, tailored for fine sanding and paint preparation before polishing; and the CP7255, engineered for course sanding, material removal and general duty sanding. All three sanders are available in non-vacuum, self-vacuum and central-vacuum models. They are color coded for easy recognition by technicians.

CP also added more than 500 individual sockets to its impact socket line, expanding their offering from 28 to 44 sets featuring a total of 774 impact sockets. The new socket offering features universal and magnetic impact sockets in a large range of metric and fractional sizes. The chrome-moly steel sockets feature a matte finish and etched labeling. The sets come in a red blow molded case with retail style labeling featuring color images of the sockets.
