Dayco Reevaluates Hose Line

Dayco Products LLC has announced it is currently evaluating over 3,000 current part numbers and launching almost 200 new applications to its hose line after receiving feedback from technicians in the field.

The new applications are being launched throughout the year that are the exact replacement to original equipment (OE) hoses, according to Dayco officials.

 “We are going through a very meticulous process to enhance our hose line offering,” says Jerry Reeves, head of product management for Dayco North America.

“All new applications launched will meet OE fit, form and function. We are also reviewing older hose applications and eliminating or redesigning any hose that it not an exact application-specific fit using a high-tech process with 3D imaging and CAD software.”

 Of the new applications being launched over the next several months, more than 170 part numbers are standard radiator and heater hoses that cover millions of vehicles in operation – all an exact fit when compared to the original equipment hose.

Approximately 20 are branched hoses – which are more complex in design – offering the aftermarket an alternative to expensive OE hoses for mostly 2016 and newer vehicles.

Dayco hoses feature spiral reinforcement for high burst strength and heat resistance. They are engineered and formulated to handle exposure to oil, mud, salt, road debris, ozone, coolants and temperature variations, and designed to meet all relevant SAE standards.
