Mitchell 1’s ProDemand repair, diagnostic and maintenance information product now includes Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) entry, making it easier than ever for auto repair technicians to connect to the correct repair information for the vehicles in their bays.

“As vehicle complexity continues to increase, it becomes more difficult for technicians to ensure they are correctly identifying the vehicle and the information they need to complete the repair,” says Ben Johnson, director of product management for Mitchell 1.

“The ability to enter the Vehicle Identification Number, or transfer that from the shop management system, and have the system decode that to the correct year/make/model/engine configuration drives accuracy and efficiency in the work bay, which is always Mitchell 1’s focus.”

The feature is included in the latest product release which became available to all ProDemand subscribers on April 3. Other enhancements in the release include the Estimator feature that has been enhanced with a new Quote Generation module. In addition, the menu items have been reorganized improve workflow.

Mitchell 1 says ProDemand provides repair, diagnostic and maintenance information to help professional technicians complete their jobs faster, easier and smarter. ProDemand presents information from service repair manuals in a consistent, easy-to-understand format.
