Astro Pneumatic Tool Co. has introduced a nut/thread setting hand riveter kit with extra-large capacity.

The company says the new XL Nut/Thread Setting Hand Riveter Kit (Model No. 1452) makes setting extra-large rivet nuts such as ½-inch and M12 a breeze.

The kit includes six interchangeable mandrel and nosepiece sets in metric/SAE sizes: M8, M10, M12, 5/16-inch, 3/8-inch and ½-inch. Also included are 10-piece rivet nuts of each size.

The company says the tool’s extra-large handles and hinge system multiply input force more than any other model available.

A tool-less quick-change head design allows for easy changing of mandrels and nosepieces by hand.

A unique spring loaded inner hex sleeve automatically locks the rotation of hand-installed mandrels so the tool never needs to be disassembled, according to the company.
