In light of the current Covid-19 situation, the Automotive Sales Council was forced to cancel it annual Spring meeting scheduled to be held over three days April 27 thru the 29th.  In its place the president, Mike Fiorito, of the council presided over a digital meeting that was attended by 93 council members.  Over the course of two hours Mike brought the membership up to speed on current council issues, two new members were welcomed and Paul Johnson presented the results of the “how’s business” survey filled out by all members.

This abbreviated meeting was wrapped up with a question/comment and round table session where members were able to talk more pointedly about their company and Covid-19.

The council hopes to get back to an in person meeting in Chicago on October 13 and 14.  Agenda items for that meeting include presentations from Fisher Automotive, Edgewater Research, an economist, investment banking in the aftermarket and a panel discussing warranties.

The Automotive Sales Council was formed in 1958 and is limited to 100 members.  Members consist of aftermarket sales and marketing executives.  The council meets twice a year, and meetings focus on timely subjects and issues facing the automotive aftermarket.
