Next Step Scholarship Program applications now open to Young Auto Care industry professionals

Feb. 18, 2020
The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) and the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) are offering young industry professionals a chance to experience first-hand how the Auto Care Association and the auto industry work through participation in the Next Step program.

The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) and the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), both communities of the Auto Care Association, are now offering young industry professionals a chance to experience first-hand how the Auto Care Association and the auto care industry work through participation in the Next Step program. The Next Step program gives future industry leaders an opportunity to attend and participate in the Auto Care Association’s Spring Leadership Days, a bi-annual event that brings together volunteers, association members and professional staff for several days of meetings aimed at discussing issues and initiatives that are currently affecting the association’s membership and industry at large.

At the Auto Care Association’s Spring Leadership Days, taking place May 13-15, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colo., Next Step program participants will have the chance to participate in committee meetings and networking events with veteran industry leaders. Additionally, 11 Next Step program participants will receive a scholarship of up to $1,100 to offset most expenses for travel and accommodations to, from and during the event. Most meals are also included.

Many former Next Step participants have gone on to serve as members of Auto Care Association volunteer committees. The Next Step program is an excellent opportunity for young professionals to come and build their networks and to take the initial step of getting involved in the industry.

Interested applicants must be a member of YANG and employed by a member company of the Auto Care Association. To access the official Next Step Program application, please follow this link. The deadline to apply is March 20, 2020.

For more information, please contact Jess Fainberg, YANG community liaison, at [email protected].
