Jiffy Lube franchisee ABME Auto Services, Inc., recently broke ground on its second Jiffy Lube location in the Bryan/College Station market.  The proposed four-bay service center, located at Texas Hwy 6 Frontage Road and Towne Center Way in Bryan, is slated to open in the first quarter of 2019.

ABME Auto opened its first Jiffy Lube in January 2018 in College Station. Both locations reflect the iconic brand's expanded business model, Jiffy Lube Multicare.  In addition to oil change services, Jiffy Lube Multicare locations offer brake services, engine diagnostics and tires.

"While Jiffy Lube was new in the College Station area when we opened the first service center earlier this year, the community has embraced the brand. There is a clear need for quality automotive maintenance service providers, and consumers know they can rely on Jiffy Lube to provide fast, convenient, quality service that they can trust," said Arun Balakrishnan, president of ABME Auto. "Based on the success of our first location, we decided to move quickly in expanding with another service center in the market.

Balakrishnan, who grew up in Bryan, plans to open 10 additional Jiffy Lube locations over the next five years. He added, "This is a bit of a homecoming for me, as my childhood home is about three miles from me.  It's great to help out the local economy and community."

"Texas is a tremendous growth market for Jiffy Lube," said Chris Dykes, director of network development, Jiffy Lube International. "We are excited to work with ABME Auto to expand our footprint, both in communities where we do not currently have a presence and in markets where we have a presence but see additional opportunity."

Since January 2018, Jiffy Lube has opened 15 new service centers across the country with plans to open an additional 16 by the end of the year.
