Expand repair capabilities to include vocational trucks with new Rotary Lift MCH413
Independent shops have a new lift option to help them expand beyond their light-duty capabilities to start servicing popular medium-duty trucks. In the search for more revenue, many shops are looking to capture maintenance and service contracts for medium-duty vehicles used by local hospitals, municipalities and construction firms. Rotary Lift’s new MCH413 mobile column lift lets them service ambulances, dump trucks, step vans and other work trucks.
The MCH413 is sold in sets of two, four or six columns, each of which has a 13,000 lb. capacity. Two columns fitted with fore and aft adapters can lift a standard pickup truck. With a total lifting capacity of 52,000 lbs., four MCH413 columns can pick up most vehicles on the road, from Class 8 trucks down to passenger cars.
The MCH413 is smaller — about a foot shorter and 150 lbs. lighter — than Rotary Lift’s other mobile column lifts, which have a rated capacity of 18,000 lbs. per column. As a result, the MCH413 has a lower price, takes up less space and is more maneuverable, making it an excellent entry-level heavy-duty lift for auto repair shops.
“Mobile column lifts enable you to increase your service offerings to cover large truck maintenance and repair,” says Doug Spiller, Rotary Lift heavy-duty product manager. “They’re portable, so you can set them up when they’re needed, and clear them out of the bay when they’re not. The MCH413’s smaller size and lighter weight also make it easier to store the lift when it’s not in use.”
Like all products in Rotary Lift’s Mach™ family of mobile column lifts, the MCH413 incorporates a number of features that reduce lift setup time by more than 30 percent, so technicians can spend more time fixing the vehicle, and less setting up the lift. The MCH413 further reduces downtime by raising a vehicle 69 inches in just 68 seconds.
The MCH413 is battery-operated, so there are no power cords to clutter the service bay. Unlike other brands that require four communication cables to connect all four columns, Rotary Lift Mach series mobile column lifts use just three. These cables are arranged in a horseshoe shape, keeping one end of the lift open for easy vehicle entry and egress. The lift can be operated from any column through Rotary Lift’s patented control system.
The MCH413 has been third-party tested by ETL and ALI certified to meet ANSI safety and performance standards.
