Spectra Premium Industries will be opening a new 250,000-square-foot distribution center in Greenfield, Ind., 25 miles east of Indianapolis. The opening date is scheduled for June 2013.

Over the years, the company’s customer base and sourcing strategy has expanded bringing the need to solidify its distribution footprint in the U.S., resulting in a more efficient setup in terms of proximity to its customer base.

This new distribution center will serve as its major U.S. hub and will offer significant improvements by adding increased storage space.

The company’s new footprint of servicing the U.S. customer base will be:

• Greenfield, Ind. (250 000 sq. ft.) – Servicing the Midwest, South and Southeast

• Riverside, Calif. (85 000 sq. ft.) – Servicing the West and Northwest

• Boucherville, Quebec (175 000 sq. ft.) – Servicing the Northeast and Canada.

The company said it is targeting June 3, 2013, as the starting date to begin shipping products , but the proximity to its current Knightstown facility makes this transition date moveable. The new building is located at 2 Mt. Comfort Road,

Communication with relation to personnel for orders, tracking of shipments, appointments, RGA and any other customer service items will all remain as it is today with the same contact information.
