Bob Fillmore and his staff from Bartlett Tire in Bartlett, Ill., took the top prize in the 2008 NAPA Brakes Crew Chief promotion and hit the kart track against NASCAR Crew Chief Ryan Pemberton.
The 2008 NAPA BRAKES Crew Chief Training program was a series of exclusive training events intended for jobbers, installers and DSMs. At the events, participants learned tips and tricks from the best technicians in the business, the NASCAR crew chiefs.
On the kart track at the celebration, drivers were required to wear full-face helmets and race suits, because the karts hit speeds up to 30 mph, After four heats, the top 10 drivers took part in a 30-lap championship race. When the dust cleared, the top three racers were Jason Florek, Anthony McKey and Jeff Sargent. Pemberton finished in fifth place.
NAPA Brakes would like to congratulate Bob Fillmore and Bartlett Tire, as well as all of those in attendance, for a great evening of racing.
This year’s program will have the backing of these same crew chiefs. This national endorsement deal and training events (an extension of last year’s successful program) are centered around the high quality, advanced line-up of products that only NAPA Brakes can provide, according to the company.
This program is composed of a core group of main elements that will all feature the nationwide NAPA Brakes endorsement by three of the top crew chiefs (past and present) in NASCAR. These elements include point-of-sale materials, national promotions and training events; all have been created to show jobbers, installers and DSMs that NAPA Brakes is the preferred brake product of some of the top technicians in the racing world.
