The Myers sales team donated 13 high-end remote-controlled racecars and 80 superhero capes.

The sales team at Myers Tire Supply truly got into the spirit of giving by taking part in a team building experience to help put smiles on the faces of some well deserving kids affiliated with the Footprints Center for Autism. The result of their efforts was a generous donation of 13 high-end remote-controlled racecars and 80 superhero capes. The event took place on April 14, at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown in Cleveland, Ohio.

The attendees worked with Impact 4 Good, a company that runs socially conscious team building programs, to plan an event that would be competitive and fun for participants, while getting them in the spirit of giving back. The program selected was called “Crazy Carz and Capes for Kidz.” Working in teams, participants rotated through several activities that challenged them both physically and mentally. Completing these car-themed activities earned each team accessories needed to customize their car. After each team completed the challenges and acquired their parts, they got to work assembling their RC Car and decorating their garage boxes with messages of encouragement. Based on the performance in the challenges, one team took home the checkered flag, but the real winners were the kids associated with the Footprints Center for Autism.

Erin Bolyard, executive director at Footprints Center for Autism, was extremely grateful for the generosity of this donation and personally came to the event to thank the Myers Tire Supply group. She spoke to the true impact of the donation and touched on how a gift like these cars and capes would have on each of the youth her organization serves. Following the event, she added that “Thanks to your organization, we can provide our students with a way to feel super. I presented these race cars and capes to our students by saying that some very kind men and women made these to remind each student that they are smart, kind, funny, intelligent, strong, unique, and super kids who make a difference in the world.”
