The Mack Anthem’s aerodynamic enhancements improve fuel efficiency by up to 3 percent.

Mack Trucks launched the all-new Mack Anthem highway model for the Mexican market. Mack made the announcement at ExpoTransporte in Guadalajara.

“Built with Mack’s legendary durability and our latest innovations to improve fuel efficiency and productivity, the Mack Anthem is designed to meet the needs of our Mexican customers,” said Dennis Slagle, president, Mack Trucks. “We’re confident that these features, along with the new standard of driver comfort delivered by the Mack Anthem, will help boost Mack’s presence in the important Mexican market.”

Mack launched the Mack Anthem model for the U.S. and Canadian markets in September. The exterior design optimizes aerodynamics for improved fuel efficiency. The Mack Anthem also includes new driving and sleeping environments designed with an emphasis on increasing driver comfort and productivity. Several configurations are available, including a day cab, a 48" flat top sleeper and a 70" stand-up sleeper.

The Mack Anthem’s aerodynamic enhancements improve fuel efficiency by up to 3 percent. In addition to a new hood and grille, Mack engineers redesigned the roof and chassis fairings, mirror covers and front bumper and air dam to more easily cut through the wind.

Exterior LED lighting is standard on all Mack Anthem models, including the headlights. The new LED headlights improve nighttime safety by producing a whiter light and casting a wider beam down the road to better illuminate objects.

Gauges, HVAC controls and the shift pad for the automated manual transmission (AMT) have been relocated closer to the driver’s fingertips. All rocker switches feature laser etching to help maintain markings over the life of the vehicle.

Full stand-up height is now available in the 70" sleeper, and the interior volume is 35 percent larger than previous models.

When outfitted with maximum storage options, the Mack Anthem boasts 27 cubic feet of storage. Mack Anthem's 70" stand-up sleeper models are available in single or double bunk configuration.

All interior lighting is also LED-based, reducing electrical consumption while providing brighter lighting for tasks.

Mack Anthem models sold in the Mexican market are equipped with Mack’s integrated powertrain featuring Mack MP engines, the Mack mDRIVE AMT and Mack axles. Mack Anthem models sold in Mexico come standard with Euro 4-rated Mack MP engines. Where approved, customers can choose Mack’s GHG2017 MP8 for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

Mack GuardDog Connect is also available on the Mack Anthem. Should a potential issue be detected, GuardDog Connect automatically notifies Mack’s 24/7 OneCall staff at the Mack Uptime Center. OneCall agents determine the severity of the issue and provide the customer’s designated contact with decision-critical information through Mack ASIST, an online communications and service management portal. If service is required, the closest dealer location is identified and service bay space and parts availability is confirmed, all while the truck is still on the road.
