Allied Specialty Vehicles acquires ambulance manufacturer

Acquisition is part of a strategy to increase market share of specialty vehicles.

Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV), a leading $1 billion sales producer of specialty vehicles to the Fire & Emergency, Commercial & Industrial and Recreational Vehicles markets worldwide, announced that it has purchased ambulance manufacturer SJC Industries from Thor Industries in an asset transaction. SJC Industries manufactures a full line of ambulances distributed under the McCoy-Miller and Marque brands.

ASV is the largest emergency response vehicle manufacturer in North America and continues to demonstrate their commitment to the industry through further investment in the acquisition of McCoy and Marque.
