Hunter's Ultimate ADAS receives Rivian approval
Rivian has approved Hunter Engineering's Ultimate ADAS for its complete vehicle lineup. This includes generations 1 and 2 of the R1 (truck and SUV versions), the EDV (also known as the RCV), and the new R2.
This approval brings Hunter up to nine total OEMs for the alignment and static calibration system, joining Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti, Subaru, and Kia.
Additional OEM approvals are expected to be announced in the near future.
Ultimate ADAS is deisgned to eliminate error-prone manual layouts common to static ADAS calibrations, combining standard-setting alignment technology with an efficient and easy-to-use guided target placement system for around-the-vehicle coverage.
Key to the system's technology are the gimbal-mounted lasers that help reduce setup time by up to 70 percent for some procedures. Coupled with the onscreen guidance, these two components aim to increase target placement precision by compensating for non-level floors, monitoring for placement errors, and confirming accuracy with laser measurements each step of the way.
Ultimate ADAS provides documentation, confirming placements, procedures, and before-and-after measurements and more, all accessed via HunterNet 2, Hunter's customer portal.
