DeWalt releases first 4" cordless angle grinder

DeWalt has announced the first cordless angle grinder, the ATOMIC 20V MAX 4" Angle Grinder, No. DCG400, designed for high performance and mobility in tight spaces. According to DeWalt, the new suite of cordless grinders -- including the 4.5" Angle Grinder, No. DCG402, the Die Grinder, No. DCG420, and the Right Angle Die Grinder, No. DCG422 -- delivers more power than select HP rated pneumatic grinders without the need for hoses, or the hassles of a complex pneumatic setup.  

Each product in the lineup offers the following benefits:

• ATOMIC 20V MAX 4" Angle Grinder, No. DCG400
  • Up to 44 percent more power than 0.7 HP rated pneumatic angle grinders.
  • 13 percent lighter than competitive pneumatic angle grinder in use.
• ATOMIC 20V MAX 4.5" Angle Grinder, No. DCG402
  • Smaller gripping diameter versus the DCG408B Angle Grinder.
  • 29 percent smaller versus current DeWalt 20V MAX grinders.
• ATOMIC 20V MAX Right Angle Die Grinder, No. DCG422
  • Up to 22 percent more power than the 0.5 HP rated pneumatic die grinders. 
  • Equal gripping diameter versus low voltage cordless die grinder. 
  • Up to 53 percent more power than Milwaukee M12 Die Grinder. 

The product lineup will debut at FABTECH 2025, one of the industry's leading events for sheet metal manufacturing, taking place in Chicago from September 8 through 11. The grinders will be available in the fall.
