Autel announced that it has been approved by Mercedes-Benz and certified by the Auto Authentication Authority (AutoAuth) to access the enhanced security gateway on select 2021 and newer Mercedes-Benz vehicle models.

Autel devices will now be able to perform previously restricted operations in the body control module, allowing them to perform all "ordinary use" diagnostics, such as special functions, active tests, data flow analysis, and ADAS calibrations.

    The models with security gateway modules include 2021 or newer CLA (174), CLA (178), AMG GT (192), C (206), E (214), S (223), SL (232), CLE (236), GLC (254), EQE (294), EQE (295), EQS (296), and EQS (297).

Autel tablets can also access Nissan and Stellantis vehicles with a security gateway module with an Auto-Auth-registered device, as well as Volkswagen/Audi Group vehicles as of earlier this year. AutoAuth registration is required, and AutoAuth charges an annual fee per brand.
