Stellantis issues recall of over 1 million vehicles for display issue

June 22, 2024
The vehicles affected include recent Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram models.

Stellantis announced the voluntary safety recall of just over a million vehicles for a rearview camera display issue. The largest share of recalled vehicles consists of recent Chrysler Pacificas, Jeep Grand Cherokees, and Ram 1500s. According to the company, notices will start to be delivered to owners and dealers on August 2, 2024.

The notice says that the vehicles have an issue with radio software preventing the rearview display from actually showing the rearview camera's feed. As a result, drivers may not be able to safely reverse. The notice lists the following makes and models as those affected:

  • 2021-2023 Chrysler Pacifica: 235,423 vehicles affected
  • 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L: 202,786 vehicles affected
  • 2022-2022 Ram 1500 Pickup: 157,714 vehicles affected
  • 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee: 148,587 vehicles affected
  • 2022-2023 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer: 96,965 vehicles affected
  • 2021-2022 Dodge Durango: 75,578 vehicles affected

  • 2022-2023 Jeep Compass: 32,110 vehicles affected
  • 2022-2023 Ram Promaster: 18,340 vehicles affected
  • 2022-2022 Ram 3500 <10k Lb. Cab Chassis: 29 vehicles affected
