VW Tiguan on Alcohol?

    This bulletin applies to 2009-2015 Volkswagen Tiguan vehicles. When diagnosing fault cod P0171, monitor MVB 32, field 2 (long term fuel trims). If fuel trims read 15-20%, take a fuel sample and check for alcohol content. If it is found necessary to pump out the tank and replace the fuel, note that all Tiguans have saddle-style fuel tanks. Both sides of the fuel tank must be pumped out as a result. Removing the rear seat will provide access to both the passenger and driver side.
