On May 20, SKF reported it's global transportation business unit will now be known as SKF Vehicle Aftermarket. It was formally known as SKF Vehicle Service Market.

The company states that they will continue to offer premium wheel end components and other related parts and services to aftermarket distributors, installers, and end-user customers.

According to Norbert Neumann, director automotive of SKF Vehicle Aftermarket, the company felt it would better serve their customers to update the business unit to 'Vehicle Aftermarket' to "more clearly define our breadth of offering."

“Every product and service we provide is engineered to contribute to a better world – from more fuel-efficient vehicles, to safer vehicles, to better performing vehicles," Neumann said. "SKF Vehicle Aftermarket will continue with its mission of providing premium components for the evolving needs of the vehicle aftermarket, as well as working to continuously enhance the customer experience.”

SKF updated its website domain to vehicleaftermarket.skf.com. The old URL will re-direct to the new one for the foreseeable future, the company noted.
