Garage Gurus extends scholarship deadline to May 31

12 scholarship winners will receive $2,500 and an Autel scan tool

Garage Gurus has extended the application deadline for its 2021 Automotive Technician Scholarship Program to May 31, 2021. Twelve lucky applicants will receive $2,500 plus an Autel MS906TS scan tool, which offers TPMS, maintenance services, diagnostic reports, ADAS module identifications, and FCA Secure Gateway Access.

“Many of our users refer to our MaxiSYS MS906TS tablet as their go-to tool, so, it seemed only natural that these 12 scholarship recipients should have one of their own as they continue their journey toward professional technicians,” said Michael Flink, Autel North American director of sales and training for diagnostic tools at Autel. “We wish them well and are confident that with our tablet in hand, these aspiring technicians will be ready to meet the challenges that await them.”

Applications for the program are currently available on the Garage Gurus for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition to the application, students are also required to submit two letters of recommendation from non-family members as well as a typed essay or video introducing themselves and indicating why they want to be a top technician.

Winners will be selected by Garage Gurus' team of ASE Master-certified technicians and other team members. Winners will be announced in June.

"For the 12 students who will be selected this summer, the $2,500 scholarship and brand new Autel MS906TS will be a huge help in supporting their goal of becoming one of tomorrow's top technicians,” said Dennis Sheran, director, Garage Gurus.

Offering onsite, online and on-demand instruction, Garage Gurus is a first-of-its-kind national training platform designed to help front-line automotive service professionals keep pace with the latest vehicle technologies.
