The reviewer appreciated the quiet, efficient operation of this compressor.

The Legacy Manufacturing Flexzilla Pro Air Compressors are designed to operate quietly in the work space. These compressors feature the company's Quiet Technology with Silencer noise suppression and operate at noise levels no louder than a normal conversation. The Pro Air Compressors feature large, low rpm pumps and motors, single-phase power on models up to 10 HP, automatic tank drain, continuous run for big air jobs, Cool Flow Technology and an exclusive six-year parts warranty.

The review

Selecting the right air compressor for the shop is an important choice, because this essential tool is crucial for running pneumatic tools in the shop. Review Scott Atwood of Four Guys Auto in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, appreciated that the Flexzilla Air Compressor was easy to use and operated quietly.

“We use this compressor to supply air for our entire auto repair shop,” Atwood says. “It is extremely efficient and unbelievably quiet.”

This air compressor is simple to use, Atwood explains. Using it is very simple—just turn it on, hook up the necessary tool, and it is ready to go.

Setup for the Flexzilla Air Compressor was minimal. Atwood says they only needed to hook up the air line and connect power to the unit, and they were able to begin using the unit right away. The air compressor came shipped in a crate with no accessories. There was a manual included that was easy to follow, although Atwood adds that using this compressor is intuitive and straightforward.

Atwood says that while the shop has used other air compressors in the past, they found the Flexzilla Air Compressor is superior. “It is much more efficient than any compressor we’ve ever had,” he notes, adding that the Flexzilla Air Compressor operates quietly in the workspace and provides a better shop environment.

The only feature that Atwood disliked was that the water discharge was on a time. “The water discharge is on a timer. It goes off periodically and can be startling if you aren’t paying attention,” he says. Although he found that a minor nuisance, Atwood doesn’t have any suggestions for improving this compressor, or any concerns regarding the use of this equipment in the shop.

“Overall, it is an exceptional piece of equipment, and better than any compressor we’ve ever had,” Atwood says.
