The platform now offers more data, improved search and faster navigation, according to the company.

ALLDATA, an AutoZone company, unveiled its newest technology platform that features integrated updates to ALLDATA Repair and ALLDATA Collision and Interactive Color Wiring Diagrams that give technicians the option to work with non-OE and factory-direct wiring diagrams. This platform now offers customers more data, improved search and faster navigation.

Data

ALLDATA covers more than 38,000 engine-specific vehicles, which is 95 percent of all vehicles on the road today, according to

Search

A single search look-up now provides both tech-verified repairs and factory-direct information on one screen, helping technicians find relevant repair info faster.

Navigation

A redesigned, more intuitive interface gives users the information they need with fewer clicks.

In addition, ALLDATA just added more than 300,000 non-OE interactive color wiring diagrams.

“The response to the updated ALLDATA Repair and Collision has been extremely enthusiastic,” said Mitch Major, Vice President, Commercial Support, AutoZone and President, ALLDATA. “Making these significant enhancements – including interactive color wiring diagrams – was a direct result of feedback from our existing customer base. We listened to what they wanted and have now delivered a radically advanced technology platform with best-in-class performance and usability.”

Technicians will save more time, according to the company, because they’re able to:

  • View diagrams side by side.
  • Highlight a specific wire: Track a wire across all pages in the diagram series.
  • Hide non-highlighted wires: Non-highlighted wires are ghosted out so techs can clearly see the wires/circuits/components they’re working on.
  • Pan within a diagram: Zoom in/Zoom out enables techs to hone in on details.
  • Bookmark highlighted articles: Techs can find frequently-used articles with just a click.
  • Print the full highlighted diagram series: Few competitors’ products offer this capability.
  • Toggle between OE and non-OE diagrams: Techs can easily click to view either OE or non-OE diagrams for quick comparison.

The new ALLDATA documentation style, diagram keys, and abbreviations are accessible from one screen and are consistent across the entire diagram spectrum, which includes more than 300,000 diagrams, 49 makes, and 24,000 models for the years 1985-2016. (Diagrams source: Bosch/Valley Forge.)

"This is far easier and more user-friendly than using multiple OEM repair databases and having to learn dozens of different formats and abbreviations," the company says. "Technicians will get up to speed faster and start working right away."

More than 400,000 technicians in more than 100,000 shops trust ALLDATA Repair and ALLDATA Collision to turn bays quickly, day in and day out. ALLDATA is migrating existing customers to the new platform in phases. New customers purchasing ALLDATA Repair or ALLDATA Collision will have immediate access to the interactive color wiring diagrams.
