    Baum Tools recently unveiled new hardware and software for their iScan/CS2000 family of scan tools. The hardware consists of a CAN-compliant OBD-II multiplexer and the PS module for getting software updates via the internet. This new European software covers 1989-2005 Volvos and Porsche, 1986-2005 Mercedes, 1987-2005 BMW and 1988-2005 Volkswagen/Audi/SEAT/Skoda. System coverage includes drivetrain, transmission, chassis, body, climate control and information and communication systems. Capabilities of the iScan tool include:

    • Viewing and graphing data streams.
    • Fault code reading and clearing.
    • Access to control unit identification, coding data and programming.
    • The ability to set controller parameters and re-set service interval monitors.
    • Ready for smog testing.
