Noregon expands coverage and bi-directional controls in JPRO Professional update

The company urges users to update to the latest version to avoid any service disruptions or lapses in coverage.

Noregon announced a major update to their popular in-shop diagnostic and repair software, JPRO Professional. The update provides expanded coverage for newer vehicles and increased bi-directional controls. The tool, used by the nation’s largest fleets and service centers, simplifies the diagnosis and repair process for users of all skill levels, while providing the advanced functionality requested by the top technicians in the industry.

Dave Covington, Noregon’s Chief Technology Officer, discussed the release, “We use a combination of market research and customer feedback to pinpoint which features to add to our products. For this particular release, we discovered a necessity to simplify DEF system diagnosis and testing in the shop, so we focused on adding those tests. We also improved our service and repair module, NextStep™, through a redesign that provides tighter integration with JPRO and allows users to access relevant tests in JPRO directly from NextStep. To improve accuracy of repairs, NextStep now provides information based on the detected components, rather than relying on VIN-based information.”

Highlighting the company’s dedication to the user experience, Covington added, “Whether it’s the technicians we have on staff at Noregon, or professionals in the field, we consult experienced users to ensure our tools are a major contributor to increased shop efficiency. Technicians just don’t have time to waste switching between applications, so we provide them everything they need to repair all makes and models in a single tool.”

Noregon offers a variety of convenient purchasing options for JPRO Professional. The company’s offerings range from complete service kits including a Panasonic Toughbook, a kit with all adapters and cables, or users can purchase a la carte software. These products are available on the company’s website and from major retailers across the country.

For a live demo of the newest features, Noregon’s product experts will be available at booth #343 at ATA MCE from October 21-24 in Orlando, Florida. Customers not attending the show are encouraged to visit the company’s website to learn more.

The company notes that updates are free for all users with active subscriptions. Existing JPRO Professional customers will receive an alert within the software for the update, once available, if connected to the internet. The company urges users to update to the latest version to avoid any service disruptions or lapses in coverage.
