In March, WABCO kicked off its European Service Partner Workshop Challenge 2012. The competition allows service partners across Europe to demonstrate why customers highly value WABCO’s service excellence and product quality. Round 1 comprised an online exam to test competencies on key WABCO systems. A total of 1,367 service partners in 33 European countries were challenged to demonstrate their service skills.
Based on the results of Round 1, the top-scoring workshops from 10 countries moved on to Round 2, which is a time-limited practical test. This test challenges each team’s diagnostic capabilities and hands-on skills, along with their ability to work quickly and efficiently as a team. It is performed on a WABCO truck and semi-trailer outfitted with the latest WABCO technology. The vehicle, which traveled to each finalist’s workshop during May and June, also has intentional faults that each team needs to identify and resolve.
The winners will be announced during IAA Commercial Vehicles 2012 in Hanover, Germany, which will take place from September 20 to 27.
