ACC introduces www.plastics-car.com, an online forum with the latest information on designing cars for fuel efficiency, sustainability and safety, and new features that enhance the user experience. Social media tools to breaking news on automotive innovations can be found all in one place.
Plastics-car.com offers unique tools, including resources for online learning, drawings, research papers, reports, models, part samples and databases. The new site also offers the latest industry news; a full college-level Plastics 101 course with lectures, assignments and exams; and visions for the plastics-intensive vehicles of 2020 from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit complete with an industry Road Map of the journey to those visions.
Plastics-car.com allows for increased user engagement with a linked Facebook page that archives a current class project at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, which boasts more graduates working as automotive designers than any other institution. The platform helps bring together the growing community of engineers, designers and plastics industry specialists to exchange information, address issues of mutual interest, and explore this exciting and growing field.
