Purolator Filters NA LLC has been recognized as a top quality supplier by Toyota for the 10th time – the most ever for any supplier. The Toyota Gold Award was presented recently at the Purolator manufacturing and distribution facility in Fayetteville, N.C.

This award is given to suppliers that consistently deliver excellence in quality, technical development, program management, delivery, invoicing, marketing, and warranty throughout the Toyota Quality Alliance (TQA) year. Purolator supplies Toyota with engine oil filters for various models.

Dave Camden, Vice President, Dealer Operations, Toyota Customer Services Division presented the award to Rob Malone, President & CEO of Purolator Filters NA LLC, now owned by Bosch and MANN+HUMMEL under a joint venture agreement.

“Delivering consistent quality is the hallmark of a top-notch supplier and at Purolator we constantly challenge our team to go the extra mile to meet and exceed our standards as well that of Toyota,” said Malone.

The organization committee within Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) makes the decision annually using supplier scorecards. Purolator was one of six suppliers to receive the award for various product lines but the only one to receive it for the 10th time. Between 1998 and 2010, Purolator Filters has received three Gold, four Platinum and three Supplier Awards from Toyota.

In 2010, for the first time, Toyota made the presentation at the supplier’s facility. In past years, the winning supplier was invited to Toyota for the award ceremony.

“This was an important gesture in recognizing the Purolator associates in design, manufacturing and distribution who played a role in achieving this award,” Malone said.
