Penske Truck Leasing opened a truck collision repair center in Annapolis Junction, Md.

The center does collision, box and trailer repairs, complete vehicle refinishing, and frame and alignment work for commercial trucks and vehicles. Penske is expected to hire nine new associates including six technicians and three administrative positions.

“The facility serves the needs of Penske’s own truck fleet and contract customers, as well as commercial truck fleets,” said James Svaasand, General Manager of Business Ventures for Penske Truck Leasing.

The 15,500-square-foot building is housed on 5.2 acres and utilizes light fixtures that reduce energy use by 50 percent.

The structure contains a high-efficiency paint spray booth that greatly filters emissions. This booth employs smart technology designed to minimize energy and fuel consumption, housing a high-tech air filtration system.

“Prior to opening this Annapolis Junction collision repair center, Penske vehicles, and our customer’s vehicles, were being serviced from our repair centers in Pennsylvania and North Carolina,” said Jack Gallagher, Senior Vice President – Northeast Region, Penske Truck Leasing. “Now, we are in the perfect position to attain new business in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., areas.”

The company’s 17th North American collision repair center is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 301-490- 9150.
