One thing Independent distributor Bob Petrilli learned years ago is the need to make it as easy as possible for customers to get the tools they need when they want them. Hence, he operates three trucks and a retail store. By operating three trucks and having a retail presence that includes a tool repair shop, Petrilli makes it easy for customers to get tools when they need them. “We can get tools to customers faster than anybody else,” he says.
Bob Petrilli has a seasoned eye for selling tools, having spent more than 40 years in a variety of roles: flag distributor, flag district manager, independent distributor, retail store owner and multi-route distributor
His company, National Tools, in Bradenton, Fla., serves an industrial area just north of Sarasota on Florida’s west coast.
