Jack Cameron joins Brake Parts Inc as national sales manager, commercial vehicle

Jack Cameron has joined Brake Parts Inc (BPI) as national sales manager – commercial vehicle. In his new role, he will lead the company’s sales efforts in the heavy duty and fleet aftermarket.

Jack Cameron has joined Brake Parts Inc (BPI) as national sales manager – commercial vehicle. In his new role, he will lead the company’s sales efforts in the heavy duty and fleet aftermarket.

“As an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, we are pleased to welcome Jack to the Brake Parts Inc team,” said Brian Kirts, vice president of sales for BPI. “His previous positions have given him a broad knowledge base that will be very beneficial as Brake Parts Inc continues to grow and increase share in the commercial vehicle marketplace.”

Cameron began his aftermarket career in 1983 in a sales role at Federal-Mogul. He went on hold a variety of management positions within the industry, including: vice president of marketing, Dorman Products; director of sales and marketing, Ken-Tool; and general manager, The Timken Corporation. In 2007, Cameron joined the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) where he served as vice president, programs and services as well as executive director of the Brake Manufacturers Council. He came to BPI from a commercial business development role at Genuine Parts Company.

Cameron has served on the board of governors of AASA and the Automotive Sales Council and has been an officer of the Manufacturers Advisory Council of AWDA. He has earned a Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designation and was honored with the prestigious Northwood Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Award. In addition, Cameron holds an ASE certification as a parts specialist.

A graduate of the University of Mississippi where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in marketing, Cameron attended the senior business management program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
