Automotive Aftermarket Holding Company (AAHC) recently joined the Automotive Distribution Network as a shareholder member, according to David Prater, president of the Network.
“The addition of AAHC as a shareholder will help boost the Network’s purchase volume on nontraditional product lines while providing opportunities for joint purchasing through the Network Products co-op warehouse,” Prater said. “It’s a win-win partnership for both AAHC and the Network.”
A wholly owned subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation, AAHC joined the Network as part of the company’s ongoing strategy to grow their business, said Mike Wiegand, vice president of purchasing and supply chain for AAHC.
“AAHC has experienced significant growth over the last several years, and we feel the Network is the right partner to expand along with us,” Wiegand said. “AAHC’s focus has been high volume and velocity commodity products whereas most of the Network members are focused on traditional hard parts, so we complement each other really well. Together, we can continue to help grow our respective businesses.”
Operating under the brands of Parts Plus, Parts Plus Mexico, IAPA and Auto Pride, the Automotive Distribution Network is one of the largest, most diverse program groups in the industry.
